Organic Pinto Beans, 500g

Description

Use these organic pinto beans in traditional Italian farro soup, or a Mexican chilli con carne. The beans have attractive dappled skin and a soft, creamy texture. They are often used to make Mexican refried beans, or served alongside tacos. Try them in soups and stews, or as part of a healthy bean salad.

Soak the beans in plenty of cold water for at least 8 hours or overnight. Rinse well and cover with fresh water, bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer until tender (for around 1 hour) Drain and season to taste, or add to your favourite recipe.
