Caramel, Egg Yolk & Marzipan Turron, 150g

Description

This soft turron is flavoured with caramel, marzipan and egg yolk. Ground almonds give it a toasted, nutty flavour, while the egg yolk adds richness.

This Spanish delicacy is delicious with a short, strong coffee. Or served alongside a glass of sweet oloroso sherry.

Turron is made with honey, sugar, egg whites and toasted nuts. It’s popular in Spain, especially at Christmas time. It is also enjoyed in Morocco, Portugal and Latin America.

Ingredients: Sugar, ground almonds (40%), egg yolk (15%), glucose syrup, preservative e-200, stabiliser (e-466 and e-415) and acidulant (e-330).
