Salsa macha is a unique and delicious condiment from Mexico. It’s made with a variety of dried chillies, nuts, seeds, and garlic which are infused in oil. At Chili Maven, they have created two recipes that showcase the flavour, not just the fire, of the chillies. Salsa macha is often used as a topping or garnish, but you can add it to anything that needs a little flavour boost.

How to use Chili Maven’s spicy and nutty salsa macha:

• Drizzle over tacos, nachos, grilled meat and fish
• Add to dips like creamy queso or fresh tomato salsa
• Add a spoonful to marinades for slow-cooked pork or lamb
• Mix with butter to baste grilled sweetcorn or tiger prawns
• Shake with olive oil and vinegar for a spicy salad dressing
• Use as a condiment for dumplings, pizza or shawarma
