Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Extra virgin olive oil is one of the world's finest ingredients, and also have tremendous health benefits. High in oleic acid, and polyphenols it is a core part of the Mediterranean diet. 

At Sous Chef we only work with producers of high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This differs from regular extra virgin olive oil in several ways. The harvest is never by suction machinery that can damage olives. And very importantly the flavour is very different.

You'll also see the harvest year on all of our product pages. This tells how the freshness of the olive oil. Although extra virgin olive oil is very stable for around 18 months, after that the quality will start to deteriorate.
