This deep red liqueur is produced in France, where it’s known as crème de cassis. It’s made with organic blackcurrants and has a bold berry flavour. Sweet and tangy in equal measure, it’s a perfect match for sparkling wine.

Blackcurrant liqueur is wonderful in cocktails. Try pairing it with rye whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters for a fruity twist on a Manhattan. In the summer, it’s great in a spritz or a mojito.

Crème de cassis adds notes of berry sweetness to desserts, too. Use it to flavour ice cream or a berry coulis to drizzle over cheesecakes.
