Karasuba-Iro Tonsui Bowl, 14.8cm
Description
Use the Karasuba-Iro tonsui bowl to serve tempura dipping sauce with a Japanese meal. This style of bowl is also traditionally used by diners to scoop their food into while eating Japanese hot pot. The bowl is a great size for serving individual side salads or pickles.
Karasuba-Iro imeans 'glossy black' in Japanese, and this glazed ceramic bowl has a beautiful glossy black and grey speckled surface. Additional red-brown detailing and white sweeps add to the elegance of the design.
As is customary in Japan, the tonsui bowl is intended to be mixed and matched at the table with other designs.
Please note that each piece is individually made, hence minor variations in colour, pattern and texture may occur from that shown in the photo. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
