Lakrids liquorice B – passion fruit and chocolate liquorice – coats sweet liquorice in Belgian white chocolate finished with a dusting of passion fruit powder. The tart sweetness of passion fruit on the tongue, gently gives way to the creamy white chocolate. And the soft liquorice centre, leaves you with a lingering taste of aniseed.

If you can stop yourself from eating these moreish treats all in one sitting, the passion choc coated liquorice pieces also make a great cake topping.

Lakrids liquorice comes all the way from one of the finest liquorice producers in Denmark, the home of liquorice. In 2007, Lakrids started as the dream of Johan Bülow, who didn’t understand why liquorice was so rarely blended with other flavours. Nor why liquorice had traditionally been made using wheat flour, instead of a gluten free flour. It turns out that both are very difficult! But with much trial and error, Johan Bülow started to produce some of the finest liquorice in the world. Lakrids liquorice is only made with gluten free rice flour, and he treats liquorice as a spice – one which enhances and perfectly complements other flavours.

Ingredients: 61% white chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavour), 18% sugar, rice flour, invert sugar syrup, treacle, glucose syrup, 2% raw liquorice, 2% passion fruit (freeze-dried), rapeseed oil, acid: malic acid, salt, glazing agent (gum arabic, shellac, carnauba wax), colours (calcium carbonate, carotenes), natural passion fruit flavour, anise oil. Minimum 27% cocoa solids. Gluten free.
