Colomba are Easter’s answer to panettone. The cakes are made using sourdough fermentation methods to create light, soft dough. The cakes are shaped like doves to symbolise peace and renewal. In Italy, they are often given as gifts at Easter.

Leone’s colomba is developed in collaboration with Pasticceria Racca in Turin. The fluffy, golden dough is studded with fruit jellies. They’re made with real fruit pulp for a tangy, natural flavour. Their sweet-sour fruitiness cuts through the richness of the colomba.

Enjoy your colomba in thick slices with whipped cream or mascarpone. Pair the Italian Easter cake with a glass of prosecco or sweet dessert wine.

The tin is decorated with Easter bunnies, flowers and butterflies. You can use it to store candies and trinkets once the colomba is finished.
