This Croatian olive oil blend has a rich flavour and delicate aroma. It’s made with Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino, Bianchera and Busa olives. The oil has a medium fruity flavour with a bitter, slightly spicy finish. Is this your first time buying from us?

Mate extra virgin olive oil blend is available in two sizes:

• 250ml
• 500ml

The stripes on the bottle are inspired by the sea and Istria’s red soil. On the nose, you can expect notes of apple, almond and green banana.

This extra virgin olive oil can be used for cooking or as a finishing oil. The initial sweet flavour gives way to a peppery finish. Drizzle it over toasted bread and top with ripe tomatoes. Or, use it to sweat onions and garlic for soups and sauces.

About Mate

Mate began in the 1990s when 75-year-old Mate Vekić began planting olive trees in Istria. Decades later, the company makes some of the finest olive oil in the world. The olives are harvested by hand and processed within hours to preserve their flavour.
