Description

Calamarata is the perfect pasta shape for seafood lovers. It resembles squid rings, which is how it got its name. The round tubes are about half the width of paccheri.

Originating from Campania, calamarata is traditionally served with fish and seafood. You can add it to rustic stews with tomatoes, garlic, mussels and squid. Or, make a light sauce with lemon and white crab meat. Savour the flavours with a glass of Italian white wine.

Michele Portoghese uses traditional pasta making methods passed down through generations. Extruded through bronze and slowly dried, their pasta has a slightly rough texture. This helps sauces to cling to the surface, so each bite is as delicious as the last.
