Michele Portoghese Gnocchi, 500g

Description

Gnocchi are small pasta shells with a ridged surface. They originate from Naples, where they’re known as gnocchi Napoletana. The shells have a hollow centre which traps sauces.

Serve gnocchi with a classic pomodoro sauce. It’s worth seeking out San Marzano tomatoes for this rich, flavourful sauce. Top with grated Parmesan and fresh basil, if you have it. This pasta shape is also delicious with creamy sauces with mushrooms or salmon.

Michele Portoghese uses traditional pasta making methods passed down through generations. Extruded through bronze and slowly dried, their pasta has a slightly rough texture. This helps sauces to cling to the surface, so each bite is as delicious as the last.
