Netherton Foundry Roasting Pan, 37.5x23cm

Description

Netherton Foundry’s roasting pan is an artisanal, Shropshire-made piece of cookware for roasting chicken and baking focaccia. The two side handles make it practical to carry this pan from oven to table. You can use this roasting pan on all types of heat: fry on the hob, brown under the grill or cook, roast and bake in the oven. As well as indoor use, it’s great for cooking over open flames.

Each pan comes pre-seasoned with flax oil for a natural non-stick finish, making it easy to remove food from the tin.

How to care for the roasting pan

Spun black iron tins are loved by chefs for their consistent cooking results, ease of use and withstanding high temperatures. Each pan is spun by hand, making this an extra special piece of cookware. This also means the bases aren’t completely flat. If you want to keep it as flat as possible, be sure to never submerge the tin into cold water as this will cause the tin to warp.

Iron bakeware can withstand extremely high temperatures and is a pure, simple metal which is easy to care for. Hand wash only, dry thoroughly after washing. If you need to scrub, use a plastic bristle brush in hot soapy water, but avoid anything harsher. Avoid detergents completely.

About Netherton Foundry

The Netherton Foundry is a family company based in Shropshire – home of the 18th and 19th century ironmasters. Their pans are made from 99.1% pure iron and they use locally sourced materials wherever possible – the oak that makes the pan handles is British, and the flax seasoning oil comes from Sussex. Experienced local craftsmen use traditional manufacturing methods to bring you high quality cookware that gets better over time.

This pan measures 37.5cm x 23cm.
