Opinel Walnut Handle Folding Knife N.8

Description

The Opinel walnut handle folding knife is the world-famous folding pocket knife with a dark wood makeover. Take the Opinel folding knife with you whenever you’re out camping, hiking or on a picnic.

The modified Sandvik stainless-steel blade has a high carbon content and added chromium, for excellent cutting quality and resistance to corrosion. The handle is made from dark French walnut wood and is varnished for resistance to water.

The Opinel family started as blacksmiths in Savoie, France in 1800. By 1890, Joseph Opinel had developed the first line of Opinel folding penknives, for which the company would soon become famous. The design is still true to the 200-year-old originals with just one little change – a rotating ‘cap’ where the blade meets the handle, so the knife can be locked open or closed.
