Original Beans 70% Cru Virunga Congo Dark Couverture Chocolate, 2kg

Description

This 70% Cru Virunga dark chocolate has a rich, complex flavour. Expect notes of morello cherry and black tea, with sweet and earthy undertones.

This distinctive flavour comes from rare Amelonado cacao beans. They are grown in Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This nature reserve is home to the last of the mountain gorillas. The cocoa farmers work tirelessly to protect their habitat.

Couverture chocolate has a higher percentage of cocoa butter than baking or eating chocolate. The extra cocoa butter gives it a smoother texture and glossy appearance when tempered. Pastry chefs and chocolatiers use it for coating, dipping and decorating. It’s ideal for glazes, ganache and truffles.

Original Beans couverture bags are made from natural wood fibres. Unlike plastic, you can dispose of them in your compost bin or paper recycling box.

Original Beans Virunga chocolate is organic, vegan and gluten-free.
