Sabarot AOP Green Puy Lentils, 500g

Description

Sabarot’s AOP green Puy lentils have an earthy, peppery flavour that works well in soups and salads. They are revered by chefs for their superior taste and texture, as the little green lentils remain firm even after long, slow cooking.

Braise them with diced vegetables, red wine and thyme for a rustic side dish to serve with fish or confit duck.

To cook the lentils, immerse them in three times their volume of cold water and boil for approximately 20 minutes. You can add them to hearty soups or toss with roasted vegetables and a tangy mustard vinaigrette.

Delicious hot or cold, these Puy lentils are packed with plant-based protein.

These green lentils are grown in the volcanic soil of the Le Puy region of southern France. Their AOP status refers to the Appellation d'Origine Protégée (protected designation of origin), which is a stamp of quality for ingredients from designated areas.
