Samyang hot chicken ‘Korean fire noodles’ are a cult branded instant noodle with spicy soup base. Samyang are best-known for creating Korea’s first ramen in 1961. 

The chewy ramen noodles are flavoured with green tea oil, and come with a spicy, chicken-flavoured soup. The fire noodles get their name - and strong spicy heat - from the chilli pepper powder, red pepper powder and paprika extract in the soup.

Follow the below instructions for cooking the fire noodles:

  1. Put the noodles into 600ml boiling water and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain, reserving 8 spoonfuls of water.
  3. Add the reserved water and noodles back to the pan.
  4. Add the liquid sauce and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the flakes, stir and serve.
