The mussels are sourced from sustainable mussel farms off the south-west coast of England. You can serve them as part of a tinned fish spread with sardines and anchovies. In Spain, tinned mussels are eaten with lightly salted crisps and a squeeze of lemon. It’s a great snack to pair with wine or a cold beer.

You can also toss the mussels with spaghetti and a light tomato sauce. Ready in minutes, it’s your store cupboard shortcut to a speedy pasta supper.
