Sharpening Stone

Description

This small sharpening stone is an essential kitchen utensil. A sharp knife makes a huge difference when chopping and can considerably prolong the life of a good knife.

When a knife is becoming blunt, place it in water with a little coarse salt for a few seconds - the knife is best sharpened with a little salt on its surface. The sharpening stone should also be dipped quickly in the water and dried so that it is moist before use. Use a 20 degree angle on the edge of the grindstone and a consistent stroke parallel to your body.
