Description

Shibanuma premium Ohitachi soy sauce is made with whole soybeans from Japan. The soy sauce ferments in 100-year-old barrels for 12 months. It has a deep, rounded flavour of rare quality.

Use this premium soy sauce as a dip for dumplings, sushi and tempura. Or mix with mirin to dress edamame beans and salads.

The name 'Ohitachi' dates back to the Edo period and refers to 'a taste of Hitachi province'. Hitachi soy sauce is known for its superior quality.

Shibanuma is one of the best-loved producers of soy sauce in Japan. The brand has made traditional seasonings for 18 generations. They use wooden barrels, handed down through many decades to ferment their soy sauce.

The soy and wheat in Shibanuma soy sauce is all grown locally.
