Description

Tea seed oil is extracted from the seeds of Camellia oleifera, a flowering tree native to China. It has a light, slightly nutty flavour and has been used as a cooking oil in China for over 2000 years. 

Also known Camellia oil has a high smoke point and can be used for sautéing, deep-frying and stir-frying. Its neutral flavour also works well as a base for dressings and marinades. Mix the oil with fresh ginger, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and toasted sesame seeds to dress Asian salads and slaws.
