Description

Flavour cakes and desserts with Terre Exotique’s vanilla from Tahiti. The pod is plumper and shinier than Bourbon vanilla, with a distinct prune-like aroma. 

Tahitian vanilla can be used in sweet and savoury recipes. Prized by chefs and bakers, it has a strong flavour with floral, fruity notes. You can also detect a hint of aniseed.

Split the pod and use the tip of a knife to remove the seeds. The leftover pod can be used to infuse sugar and creamy sauces. Add the seeds to cake batter and cookie dough. Or, use them to flavour custard and crème anglaise.

Pair Tahitian vanilla with tropical fruits like mango and pineapple. It adds a lovely flavour to syrups for tarts and sponge cakes.

Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct light.
