White Porcelain Tempura Dipping Bowl, 10cm

Description

Use this white porcelain bowl to serve dipping sauces for tempura. It’s bigger than most sauce dishes so you can dip larger items like prawns and aubergine.

In Japan, tempura is served with a light dipping sauce called tentsuyu. It’s made with mirin, soy sauce and dashi. The sauce has a sweet-salty flavour which is delicious with fried foods. It balances the richness of the crispy tempura batter.

Made from white porcelain, this bowl has a short handle for lifting and carrying. If you’re not in the mood for tempura, fill it with sweet chilli sauce for dunking spring rolls. You can also use it to serve tsukemono (Japanese pickles) and small salads.
