Chopping & Carving Boards

Browse our range of wooden chopping boards for your kitchen. You’ll find beech wood chopping boards for everyday cooking, ash carving boards for salmon and joints of meat, and acacia wood serving boards for presenting cheeseboards, charcuterie and antipasti.

Wooden chopping boards are much better for your knives. To help keep your knives sharper for longer, a paulownia wood chopping board is the one most favoured by Japanese chefs and master knife makers. Learn more about how to look after your chopping board in our useful guide.

How many chopping boards should I have?

The minimum number of chopping boards you need is two - one for raw foods and one for cooked. This is also useful for separating your meat from your vegetables and will prevent cross-contamination. Professional kitchens may use up to six chopping boards to separate out allergens for safe cooking. These may be one chopping board for meat, another for fish, fruit, vegetables, dairy and bakery products. You may want to follow suit and have an extra chopping board for your cheese and bread.
