Grand Rubren Violet Liqueur 18%ABV, 500ml
UK age verified delivery £7
Description
Grand Rubren violet liqueur captures the delicate flavour of violet petals. Deep purple in colour, it adds a floral note to cocktails and mocktails. In France, it’s known as crème de violette.
Add a splash to a glass of Champagne for a twist on the Kir Royale. The liqueur turns the sparkling wine a pale shade of lilac. You can also mix it with sparkling water for guests looking for low alcohol alternatives.
Violet liqueur gives classic cocktails a spring-like freshness. Use it to make sours, gimlets and daiquiris with a subtle floral taste. Violet liqueur is an essential ingredient in the pre-Prohibition cocktail, the Aviation. It’s paired with gin, lemon juice and maraschino liqueur to create a short, potent tipple.
Not just for drinking, violet liqueur is also used in baking and desserts. Try adding it to creamy desserts or royal icing for celebration cakes. You can decorate them with edible flowers or crystallised violet petals.
