Nora pepper paste is the essential ingredient in an authentic romesco sauce. Nora peppers have an intense red pepper flavour with very mild heat and fruity notes.
Nora peppers are the variety of pepper that most Spanish paprika is made from. Try swapping sweet paprika for nora pepper paste the next time you cook a Spanish meal to get a richer sauce. It’s a popular ingredient in Spanish fish stews, but it’s also great with beans, lentils, chicken, chorizo and rice dishes.
Use nora pepper paste to put an intense red pepper twist on pasta sauces, too. Or even use as an alternative to tomato sauce on a homemade pizza.
