Poon’s Chinese bacon has a rich savoury flavour. Add it to fried rice or simply steaming with rice to give them an authentic Chinese flavour.

Cured meats are extremely popular in China. They vary by region and are used in a wide range of dishes. You will often find dried sausage or bacon in traditional clay pot dishes.

Poon’s Chinese bacon is made to an old family recipe developed by Amy’s grandfather. It is cured in soy sauce, Chinese wine and spices and then air-dried. This drying process intensifies its complex, meaty flavour.

Chinese bacon can be simply steamed and served with jasmine rice. It’s delicious with stir-fried vegetables like green beans and cabbage.

Try chopping the sausage into small pieces before adding it to noodle dishes and steamed crunchy vegetables. It has a bold, meaty flavour so a little goes a long way.

For best results, the bacon should be steamed before stir-frying.
