Simple Matcha Whipped Cream

An incredibly easy combination, this gentle green cream has a subtle earthiness. It’s not too punchy, but gives a slightly savoury note to whipped cream. A fantastic flavour pairing with sweet Japanese pancakes. Or try it in a layered ice-cream sundae, with sweet cherries and amaretti soaked biscuits.

Method

  1. Whip the cream with an electric mixer until it thickens, but is still soft and pourable.
  2. Stir through two teaspoons of matcha and give the mix a final beat, being careful not to overwhip.
