Simple Matcha Whipped Cream

An incredibly easy combination, this gentle green cream has a subtle earthiness. It’s not too punchy, but gives a slightly savoury note to whipped cream. A fantastic flavour pairing with sweet Japanese pancakes. Or try it in a layered ice-cream sundae, with sweet cherries and amaretti soaked biscuits.
Ingredients
- 200ml double cream
- 50g caster sugar
- 2 tsp matcha powder
Method
- Whip the cream with an electric mixer until it thickens, but is still soft and pourable.
- Stir through two teaspoons of matcha and give the mix a final beat, being careful not to overwhip.
