Fruit puree is perfect for use in cocktails, desserts and even patisserie. The Funkin fruit purees contain only the best fruit from around the world. Funkin don't use any artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or additives. They come in a pourable pouch with a re-sealable flip-top lid for easy cocktail making. And if you don’t plan to use a whole pouch in one week, you can always pop the fruit puree in the freezer for another day.
The Fabbri Mixyfruit range is ideal for bar use. A cross between fruit puree and fruit syrup, they don't need to be refrigerated after opening. This is a real advantage for bars or homes with limited fridge space.
Does Fruit Puree Have Added Sugar?
The Funkin fruit purees do contain some added sugar - this is typically 10% or less of the total product. Sugar helps to preserve the fruit puree without resorting to chemicals or artificial additives.
The Fabbri Mixyfruit purees are have a much higher sugar content - around 30% - placing them closer to syrups. This extra sugar is one of the reasons that Mixyfruit purees don't need refrigerating, even when open.
Can You Freeze Fruit Puree?
You can freeze Funkin fruit purees easily - simply pop the whole pouch in the freezer before the best before date! Or squeeze the fruit puree into ice cube trays so you have ready-to-use portions for cocktails or desserts.
If you have space in your freezer for bottles, the Fabbri Mixyfruit range is also suitable for freezing.
How Long Can You Keep Fruit Puree In The Fridge?
Funkin fruit purees will keep for up to 8 days in the fridge once opened. Fabbri Mixyfruit purees do not need to be refrigerated, and will last at room temperature for up to 1 week once opened.
