Description

The Silverwood Mini Pudding Mould is a small British-made aluminium mould for steamed puddings, individual sponges, mousses, panna cotta and savoury timbales.

Made in Birmingham by Alan Silverwood Ltd, the mould has Silverwood’s silver anodised finish. This hardens and seals the aluminium, so there is no PTFE or PFOA non-stick coating to chip or peel. With use, the surface builds a natural patina, a bit like a much-loved baking tin, and release tends to improve over time.

  • Hand-finished in Birmingham, England
  • Silver anodised aluminium, not coated
  • Even heat for steady baking
  • Classic shape for steamed puddings
  • Approx. 3 inch, around 6oz capacity

Use it for golden syrup sponge, Christmas pudding for one, little chocolate fondants, chilled lemon mousses, or a tidy savoury fish mousse if you are feeling pleasingly old-school. The flared rim helps when covering the mould with foil or baking parchment before steaming.

Over time, expect the satin silver surface to change. That is part of the charm, and part of how Silverwood bakeware becomes better to cook with.

Meet the maker: Silverwood Bakeware

Silverwood bakeware is handmade in Birmingham, England, where they have been making tins since the 1960s.

Silverwood’s anodised aluminium also has a naturally easy-release surface that improves with use. A light grease is still wise, especially for sticky bakes, but this is not a coated tin that flakes or peels. It is strong, light to handle, and made to be used often.

A great choice for anyone avoiding PTFE or PFOA coatings.
