Acquerello’s aged Carnaroli rice is particularly suited to risotto, while Pasta Di Aldo’s broad egg pappardelle ribbons work well with a rich mushroom sauce. The large, meaty Gordal olives, salted chillies and soy sauce bring savoury depth, heat and salt to the selection.

The pistachio cream gets part of its smooth texture from Sicilian extra virgin olive oil. Spoon it over ice cream with Fabbri’s intensely sweet-tart Amarena cherries. The two chocolate bars offer different styles: Ocelot pairs organic milk chocolate with toasted buckwheat, while Original Beans contributes a 55% dark milk chocolate.
