What is Panettone?
Panettone is a distinctive tall, dome-shaped cake, filled with raisins, citrus peel, and almonds. With its soft, rich texture, it’s traditional Christmas treat in Italy - and has become hugely popular across the world.

Loison Panettone
The top-line panettoni from Loison are made with highest possible ingredients, from the Italian mountains. Loison’s Top Line panettones are crafted with nothing but the finest ingredients. The cream and butter come from small, local farms nestled in the Italian mountains. The salt? None other than Italy’s prized Cervia sea salt—nicknamed "white gold." And the vanilla? Naturally, it hails from Madagascar. But the secret lies in the process: a slow, 72-hour fermentation with sourdough yeast, coaxing out deep, rich flavors. This dedication to perfection is what makes Loison’s panettones among Italy’s very best.
Flamigni Panettone
The team at Flagmini make exceptional panettone. Flamigni began life in 1930 as a humble pastry and coffee shop in Forlì, nestled in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. It was the brainchild of three brothers—Armando, Lieto, and Aurelio Flamigni—who quickly won hearts with their exquisite Italian pastries. Then came Marco Buli, the forward-thinking son-in-law of one of the brothers. He persuaded the family to broaden their horizons, adding nougat and, later, panettones to their repertoire. But here’s the key: every new creation was underpinned by their relentless dedication to quality and innovation. As they put it themselves, "At Flamigni we’re open to innovation—but only if it means improvement."
Fiasconaro Panettone
Famed for their connection with Dolce & Gabbana, Fiasconaro's Sicilian panettone are a delight. Fiasconaro was born in 1953 in the heart of Castelbuono, Sicily, founded by the talented Mario Fiasconaro. Mario began as an ice-cream maker and pastry chef, crafting mountains of profiteroles that quickly became legendary. His three sons—Fausto, Nicola, and Martino—grew up with flour on their hands and a passion for pastry in their veins. Today, the Fiasconaro brothers still run the show, keeping the family’s proud tradition alive.
